We’re a family-run, Okanagan-based security company, proudly serving Kelowna and communities throughout British Columbia. Founded by Darren Parry in 2004, AVS was built on generations of knowledge passed down from his family who started Parry Bros Lock & Safe back in 1973. Darren worked along side his father and brothers from an early age, building a strong foundation of knowledge in the industry.

Our Process
Our process starts with a consultation and site visit to understand your property, how it operates, and what you need to protect. We then assess the risks and develop a custom system design, selecting the right combination of security technology for the application.
Once the design is approved, our technicians handle the installation, programming, testing and training, followed by ongoing service and support to keep your system working properly. And we keep you informed every step of the way.

What areas does AVS service?
AVS teams install and service security systems throughout British Columbia, with a strong presence in the Okanagan, including Kelowna, Penticton, Peachland, Summerland and Vernon. We also support clients in the Kootenays and Lower Mainland.
Does AVS work with existing systems?
Yes. In many cases, you don’t need to start from scratch. We can assess your existing alarm, video surveillance or access control system and determine what can be serviced, upgraded or integrated with new technology. Where possible, we’ll make use of the equipment that’s still working well and replace only what needs to be upgraded.
How much does a new system cost?
The cost depends on what you need, the type of system, and the size and complexity of the property. If you’re working with a tight budget, you may not need to replace everything. In many cases, we can upgrade your existing system or build a new system in stages, allowing you to expand as your needs and budget change.
How involved is AVS after the installation?
Our involvement doesn’t have to end when the installation is complete. We provide system training, ongoing service, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrades, but there’s no obligation to enter into a long-term service agreement. You can call AVS when you need us, with the flexibility to choose the level of ongoing support that works for you.
Can AVS install cameras with no power?
Yes. AVS can provide wireless video surveillance for locations where permanent power isn’t available. Depending on the site, we can use battery, solar or other remote-power solutions to keep cameras operating without traditional electrical service. This is particularly useful for construction sites, remote properties and temporary locations where running power isn’t practical.
